-------------------------------------- The Neon Box By: Bashukin ------------------------------------- - Disclaimer - The author, in no way takes responsibility for the construction, use, or injury caused by this equipment. A Neon Box is a very simple adjustment to your fone, that will allow very clear passage of sound from your computer etc., to your fone. It also works great for recording tones, or conversations, etc. Tools: ------ This mod is very simple, and can be used on most fones though it is more difficult on one piece units. All you need is an old pair of headphones, or a very small quality speaker, a screw driver, a soldering iron, and some quality solder. Instrutions: ------------ Open your fone, using your screw driver. When opened, look for the red and black wires that lead to the mouth piece of the phone. When you have found the two wires, cut the jack of the headphones off. Strip the headphone lead that goes to the left headphone about a centimeter(1/8 inch). Keep the other headphone and lead intact. Then, on the red wire of the fone, on the end nearest the circut board, solder the insulated wire from your stripped headphone. On the black wire in the same area as the red, solder the bare wire from the headphone lead. You should now be left with your new Neon Box, your fone, one headphone, and hopefully, no burns.
